You'd have to define "minds" and "expands" first - and then look for
experiments designed to measure the effect of LSD on these things.
Ideally of course, you'd define your terms, design your experiment,
and then carry it out adhering to decent scientific standards - but as
it's illegal, you're not allowed to.
Similar situations have occurred before - in biology (where anatomy
was learned by using stolen bodies), and in astronomy - where church
officials refused to look through telescopes. Not to mention the fate
of the one who pointed out that the hypotenuse of a right-angled
triangle one unit high and one unit long couldn't be represented by a
ratio of integers.
