Hydro question: Wick system nutrients

by Hal I. Tosis <hal_i_tosisNOSPAM@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 13, 2005 at 07:38 PM

Not a lot happening on this group, but if someone in the know reads
this, can you answer me this: If I use a wick system for keeping the
moisture level even, do I include the nutrients/fertilizer in the
basin with the water wicking up or will it not move by capillary
motion? Seems like it would by osmosis at least since the level of
those chemicals will be less in the pots. Still, nutrients traveling
up a wick seems improbable.

Thanks

....hal
