Grodan Blocks

by "Dave" <kush_7@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 1, 2005 at 12:03 PM

Hi,
Is there a rule of thumb way of using Grodan Blocks for cuttings, what I
mean is I've always used pearlite & soil with no problems for rooting
cuttings, but at the moment I'm using Grodan Blocks which are either too
wet
or too dry - basically I've no idea how wet they are supposed to be. My
first attempt was a disaster (2 weeks & no sign of any roots) so I've
replaced the blocks which I now feel are too dry, also I didnt realise
that
you have to feed them at this early stage as with my old method you didnt
need to.

Is there a fool-proof way of telling that there's enough water in the
blocks
for the roots to grow & not be drowned - a weight method maybe, the blocks

I'm using are 10cm square.

Dave
