I personally can't live without saliva ever since they discovered
Opiorphin,
[Opiorphin displays potent analgesic activity in chemical and mechanical
pain models by activating endogenous opioid-dependent transmission.
http://www.pnas.org/cgi/content/abstract/0605865103v1]
Which means in the near future the possibility of analgesic pain
medications
may be derived from human saliva. Trying to get a hold of do***entation
that
explains how to extract or derive the peptide from saliva is another
matter.
If anyone hears of a method of isolation it would be appreciated since I
have a rather unlimited supply of saliva and based upon initial
investigation, I don't think quantities beyond the ml range are required
to
obtain useful dosages.
Peace!
