Okay, so, here's my friend's situation.
She takes 40 mg of methadone per day. She also takes 100mg of Zoloft
(antidepressant) per day. This routine has been going on for a about a
year, and seems to be OK.
She has never done crystal meth or any speed before. Her friends were
doing it last night, and they told her that it would give her some
energy, and she would feel great for a little bit, and then go to bed
and wake up just fine, and that she would not feel bad the next day.
So, she took her first hit from a meth pipe.
Someone else held the pipe for her, since she didn't know how to do
it.
She got about 2-3 hits, and was feeling good, and then she started
feeling like she was already coming down.
Well, one of the friends has accidently left a pipe behind. It didn't
look like there was anything in it, but she thought she might at least
try to see if she could get anything out of it.
She heated the pipe with a lighter from underneath for about 1 minute.
Then a little smoke started coming from the hole, so she starting to
inhale.
When she blew out the smoke, there was a little smoke coming out, but
it didn't seem like much, so she kept trying to get better hits.
She did this about 7 times, with the small amount of smoke coming out
each time.
Well, she didn't think it had done anything to her. Untill she stood
up. Then she fell on the floor, almost fainting. She got up, and she
got a headache on the left side of her head.
After that, she vomited all night long.
She did not sleep at all. The next morning, she felt AWFUL. Still
vomiting, and dizzy w/ headache.
My question is, was what she did safe? Did she smoke too much? Or did
she not smoke it the right way?
Or did the meth have a reaction with the methadone?
She has not taken her methadone dose today because she is afraid of
getting sick again.
Can someone help?
Any info will be appreciated.
