What explains the differences between "different" methadones?
By this I mean the fact, that for example, in the Netherlands, the
average MMt-dose is 120mg, whereas in Finland the same number is
nearer to 200mg's. And besides that(I've never trusted averages), one
can get a good nod from ie. Dutch/Danish 'done but not from the
Scandinavian 'done. How is that possible?
Could this be because some countries use pure levo-methadone
whereas other countries (Finland for example) use the racemic 50/50
mixture of R-methadone and S-methadone(/levo-methadone)?
I've heard a lot of bull**** (urban legends) which are always
advertised as the Absolute Truth, stating for example, that
Scandinavian methadone is weaker because it has "the euphoria-inducing
component of it 'taken out' from it". Now, how does one do that? By
magic?
As per my understanding, the euphoria-inducing "component" is the
same as the "component" that keeps us from WD, and that "component" is
methadone itself, no?
Does anyone have any real answers? Confirmed answers? NO MORE URBAN
LEGENDS, please. Thank you.
Peace,
