a major undertaking, but the rewards would be more than worth it

I've been thinking of learning organic chemistry specifically for the 
purpose of making a good-sized batch of pure LSD. It would be strictly for

personal use. I wouldn't sell any of it at all. I realize this would be a 
huge undertaking. I know very little about organic chemistry. But I can 
learn. The library and Internet has infinite sources to help me. The
threat 
of detection by the drug warriors would be very low; there'd be nothing to

make them suspicious --- except maybe this post. The whole process would 
probably take many months to learn and carry out. But just the thought of 
the culmination of my efforts -- a vial of pure lsd.25 in the freezer --  
would keep me going. Call me obsessed if you want. But the end result
would 
be a journey into Wonderland whenever the mood strikes.
