VOTE: Should we get tough on Cannabis users?

"MORE than 1,000 people caught with cannabis in South York****re
escaped with just a slap on the wrist last year.Government figures
reveal 1,027 formal warnings - which let users off without a criminal
record - were doled out for possession of pot in 2006 to 2007. This
was up by 83 per cent on the number dished out in 2004 to 2005 - when
police were first told not to prosecute most minor first-time
offenders."

Note how the mad morons have insisted upon harrassment even within a
regime of declassification, following the first years honeymoon
period. I've been caught with cannabis twice in 2 years recently and
been prosecuted both times. Last time I 'elected' for Jury trial and
pleaded not guilty. Why? "becwas I wanted it all over and done with as
quickly as possibe" (in dumbed down police yobbo type voice).
