I remember when I lived in Nevada the Datura would be in full bloom in
September. I imagine it takes at least a month from bloom to form a
pod, so probably early November if you wanted to harvest the seed pods.
I just checked and Datura is an annual plant, in other words the seed
is the only connection between one generation and the next, so by
winter the plant should be dead (though some pods may still remain on
it), so if you are looking for fresh leaves and roots then spring is
the time.
