Are you pulling in too much air when you take a hit?
If your stem isn't packed well, you'll pull in too much air which
leads to gas build up and pain.
Exhale totally before you light up then pull in on the stem. You'll
get a bigger, longer hit with much less discomfort.
At least, give it a try.
