I always hallucinated because of sleep deprivation, usually on the
fourth night without sleep, which is normal under most conditions. At
that point, however, my continual use of cocaine would eventually lead
to cocaine psychosis.
The story: I was staying at Hedonism II in Jamaica. Jamaica must be
the easiest place to get anything; all the baggage carriers and cab
drivers solicit you as soon as you exit the air****t. I was asked the
usual "ganja man" question and replied "ready rock". He knew what that
meant.
Later on in my hotel room, I began lighting up and it was good stuff.
But then I swore there were people waiting for me outside my room
door. There they were, standing in front, talking about me, and
motioning to others. I saw it all through the peephole and again swore
it was happening.
But I couldn't be hallucinating, I thought. I slept the night before
and I wasn't smoking for hours. I got so paranoid, I actually called
the front desk! Evidently, they had heard the same story many times
from other guests. I was told to "take it easy on the ganja".
Then it dawned on me. The rocked-up cocaine was obviously laced with a
hallucinogenic. Probably the same kind they used on their weed. I was
whacked out practically the whole time I was there. I couldn't believe
what I thought was happening. Many times I knew it wasn=92t real and
just played along with it. I was lucky I got on the bus to the air****t
on getaway day. A true miracle. I even felt some side effects days
later after I came home.
The most incredible thing is that I have a clear memory of everything
I thought I saw or heard while in Jamaica. And the same holds true for
any of my other experiences of hallucinations or cocaine psychosis.
I remember every one.
