Greetings,
I like to dabble once in a while and break out the spoon or pyrex.
Recently I got some powder that when cooked has a really abnormal
yellow color and overly sludgy and sticky. I'm no chemist, but 49 out
of 50 times things come out good.
With this stuff, if I am able to get anything usable its very very
sticky/gooey and takes a long time to dry. The burn off has a lot of
black nasty ash and tastes like crap. Seems like the cut from the
powder likes to hang out longer than it should. When I use the spoon,
*after* the precip happens, there are still a LOT of bubbles, Im
assuming its the cut reacting. Should I cook it longer, less? Spoon
or pyrex? Should I get it solid then recook? slow with low heat, or
faster with higher heat? Less soda or more?
Thanks
