Man Arrested After Seeking Money For Crack Debt
CALLAWAY, FL (AP) -- Authorities say a man was arrested after he asked
bank employees for money to repay a crack-cocaine debt. The Bay County
Sheriff's Office re****ted yesterday that Charles Anthony Miller had
been on a crack-cocaine binge since about noon Wednesday.
When deputies arrived at the Regions Bank, Miller told them that he
needed 500 dollars to pay off a crack-cocaine debt. Miller also told
the deputies that one of the men who had kidnapped him was sitting in
the bank lobby.
Deputies took Marvin Williams into custody and re****ted that they
found marijuana on him. Miller then told deputies that two other men
were waiting outside in a green Camaro. Deputies re****ted that the
driver, Devonte Levoris Pace, ran away when they tried to talk to him.
Deputies found illegal narcotics while searching the Camaro.
Miller was charged with filing a false police re****t. Williams was
charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana. Warrants
were issued for Pace on several charges.
