Hi guys,
I am new to this forum. Recently i have come up with a new idea, and i
believed that it will be of really helpful to the society. But as i am
a student i do not have the financial backing and i come from a poor
family, so my family couldn't be of much help. I had wanted to file a
patent but it would costs up to $20000 in Singa****e.
I had told my teacher about this idea and most of them deem it as
useful, one of my teacher suggests that i go straight to the company
and tells them about my idea and says that if the company accepts my
idea, even if they do not pay me but it will be kind of cool to have my
idea published in the market.
I do know that a idea that is not patented yet is protected under the
law of confidence, which in this case if i tells that particular
company about my idea, and if they were to adopts it without giving me
credit can i do anything?
Can i also request that they were to give me some credit to my idea if
they were to accept it?
The company that i am going to tell my idea to is a big and reputable
company in Singa****e, which in this case with all you guys expertise,
do you think they would steal my idea and use it themselves, which
frankly speaking even if the company were to use my idea without giving
me credits, i also do not know what i can do.
